Coyote Con 2013: Join the Howl!
/Are you like me and couldn't afford the trip to Brighton for World Fantasy this year? Well, come join me at Coyote Con! What is Coyote Con, you ask? It's a virtual convention for readers and writers of SFF, horror, and romance in all its flavors. What is a virtual convention? Well, first of all, it's FREE. :D
Coyote Con takes place online, via virtual chat rooms. This year, it's happening every weekend in October. There are some fun and informative panels planned, including Magic in Paranormal Romance, Tarot Worldbuilding, and Steampunk, as well as some panels on the business of writing, such as Self Publishing and Writing the Dreaded Synopsis.
I'll be on panels for Epic Fantasy (9pm Eastern on Friday, October 11), LGBTQ & Diversity (3pm ET on Saturday, October 12), and Angels & Demons (8pm ET on Saturday, October 12). (Interested in being a panelist? I could use some help on the LGBTQ/Diversity and Angels & Demons panels. Email me or comment and I'll forward you the details.)
We also have some extra fun scheduled, with a Saturday night movie slam (a la Mystery Science Theatre 3000 and Rifftrax) with the writers of Here Be Magic at 7pm Eastern on October 5. The movie for this inaugural "Here Be Movie" will be the 2011 remake of Fright Night, with Colin Ferrell, the adorable Anton Yelchin (Chekov from the Star Trek reboot franchise), Toni Colette, and an awesome leather-and-eyeliner-wearing David Tennant!
You can join Here Be Movie via Twitter with the #HBMovie hashtag, or by chat room at Coyote Con. Hope to see you there!
