The Lost Story in The Devil's Garden

Those of you who have been with me on this journey from the beginning may remember that my debut novella, The Devil's Garden, got off to a rocky start. Sold. Unsold. Then sold again, and eventually published in June 2011.

Since then, I've seen readers wonder about the pieces of the story that weren't there, and about how the story left off. It was a peculiar ending, with a mystery dropped onto the last page without explanation.

These are questions I deliberately left unanswered because The Devil's Garden was written as a prequel teaser to a much larger work. I never intended to leave my readers hanging this long, but the publisher of The Devil's Garden declined to publish the rest of the series.

The Anamnesis books have been the books of my heart for longer than I care to admit. They have been through multiple incarnations as I've honed my craft and learned about the business—and raised a child to adulthood. They are dark, and epic, and violent, and sexy, and subversive. And I was beginning to believe they would never see the light of day.

Which is why I am absolutely thrilled to announce that the first three books in the series now titled Looking Glass Gods will be released by Samhain Publishing in 2015: Idol of Bone, Idol of Blood, and Idol of Glass.
